Temporary Health Communication Specialist

Description & Requirements Join our energetic team as a Health Communication Specialist! In this temporary role, you'll be essential in creating impactful health communications. We seek talented individuals skilled in research, capable of crafting clear and accurate written responses according to CDC guidelines, utilizing provided scripts. If you have a background in health communication, education, or the medical field, your insights will be invaluable to us. Position: Temporary through August 31, 2026 Work Hours: Full-time, 8-hour shifts available Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST Weekends/Holidays: Flexibility for occasional weekend or holiday work may be required Equipment: Candidates must utilize a personal computer or laptop with Windows 10 or 11, Mac OS Big Sur (11.0.1+), Catalina (10.15), or Monterey (12.3). Chromebooks, tablets, and notebooks are not permitted. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage semi-routine tasks, exercising judgment to modify established practices as needed. Perform clerical duties, including document verification, handling communications, and providing administrative support. Contribute to project management by identifying and addressing departmental needs. Qualifications: High School Diploma with 1-3 years of relevant experience or training in a related field. Experience in health communication, education, or the medical field is preferred. Outstanding written and oral communication skills are essential. Proficient in utilizing desktop and database systems. Understanding of public health issues and familiarity with CDC health partners and missions. Customer service experience is a plus. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail are required. Able to excel in a collaborative team environment. Home Office Requirements: Internet speed must be at least 25mbps (50 Mbps for shared connections). Minimum upload speed of 5mbps is required. A wired internet connection via Category 5 or 6 ethernet cable is necessary. A private, secure workspace with a dependable power source is essential. Candidates must reside in the Continental United States. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years of related experience.
