We are seeking a Actuarial Intern to join our Risk, Analytics and Data team._Primary Function:_ We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Actuarial Intern to join our Risk, Analytics and Data team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in actuarial reserving, working closely with seasoned professionals in the insurance industry. The successful candidate will support key reserving activities, including financial reporting, data analysis, and process improvements, while developing technical and analytical skills._Duties and Responsibilities:_ Assist in preparing actuarial loss reserving analyses, including estimating unpaid claims liabilities and developing insights for financial decision-makingSupport quarterly financial reporting deliverables by ensuring high data quality and meeting deadlinesPerform data extraction, manipulation, and analysis using tools such as Excel, SQL, R, VBA, or PythonContribute to process improvement initiatives, including automation of recurring tasks to enhance efficiencyConduct descriptive statistical analyses to monitor loss trends and validate actuarial assumptionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Claims, and Data Analytics to align on reserving activitiesPrepare and present findings from actuarial analyses to leadership and stakeholdersSupport ad hoc projects related to risk management, regulatory reporting (e.g., ORSA), or enterprise risk management (ERM) Experience, Education, Special Skills Required: Prior internship experience in actuarial science or insurance is highly desirable.Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication skills for presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.Familiarity with property and casualty insurance concepts is an advantage.Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or a related fieldSuccessful completion of at least one actuarial exam (e.g., CAS or SOA).Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, or VBA is a plus _Disclosures:_Pay Estimate: $20.00 - $22.00/Hour
