The Nurse Manager, Radiology will oversee daily operations across diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care, optimal throughput, and exceptional patient experience. Responsibilities include leading and mentoring nursing and technologist teams, managing staffing, scheduling, and assignments, coordinating care with radiologists, the ED, OR, and inpatient units, standardizing workflows in PACS/RIS/EMR, and driving performance improvement using KPIs such as turnaround times, repeat rates, and radiation dose. The role ensures regulatory and accreditation compliance (Joint Commission, DOH, ACR), maintains rigorous infection prevention and radiation safety practices, supports competency validation, onboarding, and ongoing education, and partners with bio-med and vendors to maximize equipment uptime and supply availability. Additional duties include policy and protocol development, budget oversight, charge capture accuracy, incident review and service recovery, participation in safety huddles and emergency preparedness, and leading multidisciplinary quality initiatives that elevate clinical outcomes, staff engagement, and patient satisfaction.
