We provide vital program management and facilities engineering services worldwide, particularly in support of the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) and various federal agencies. We are excited to announce an opening for a Construction Project Management Support Specialist to join our team, specifically to support the VA Milwaukee Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) Infrastructure Upgrade project. In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring effective construction management and oversight. Key Responsibilities: Support the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) with effective construction management for the EHRM project. Implement project plans focused on Quality Assurance, Safety, Time, Cost, Change, and Information Management. Monitor construction quality, identifying discrepancies and deficiencies in the contractor's work relative to the construction documents. Assist in evaluating baseline schedules and determining the value of acceptable work performed on-site. Maintain daily progress and inspection reports for accurate project tracking. Lead the inspection and quality assurance teams to ensure comprehensive project oversight. Utilize construction-related software tools to monitor, update, and produce necessary project work products while maintaining records. Apply your knowledge of construction practices and site operations, managing general contractors and subcontractors effectively. Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or equivalent work experience demonstrating the necessary competency. Minimum of six (6) years of construction work experience may substitute for formal education. Significant experience in healthcare and IT construction projects/facilities. Strong working knowledge of construction practices and site operations. Proven experience in monitoring construction for quality assurance. Ability to prepare, analyze, and identify deficiencies in contractor work. Experience with baseline schedule evaluation and assessing construction progress. Strong communication, organizational, and software skills, with proficiency in construction-related software tools. Ability to manage technical quality, cost, and schedule effectively when assigned. Must be able to present three relevant projects that demonstrate prior competence in similar roles. Why Planate?
