You Are A hands-on Data Solutions Specialist with solid experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, or Machine Learning, now ready to deepen your expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You are enthusiastic about applying your technical skills, exploring advanced Data & AI methodologies, and collaborating with delivery teams to design and implement cutting-edge data and AI solutions. The Work (What You Will Do) As a GCP Data Solutions Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering data modernization, analytics, and AI solutions on GCP. You will assist in architectural design, build data pipelines, create data models, conduct analyses, and support technical implementations under the guidance of senior team members. Hands-On Technical Delivery Build data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and integrations using GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage. Assist with data modeling, performance tuning, and query optimization in BigQuery. Implement data ingestion patterns for batch and streaming sources. Support the development of dashboards and analytics products utilizing Looker or Looker Studio. Support AI & ML Solution Development Assist in creating ML models and AI solutions with Vertex AI, Gemini Foundation Models, Gemini Enterprise, Model APIs, and Embeddings. Help implement ML pipelines and establish MLOps practices focusing on monitoring, retraining, and deployment. Engage in prompt engineering, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) experimentation. Contribute to model testing, validation, and documentation efforts. Requirements Gathering & Collaboration Participate in client workshops to identify data requirements, use cases, and technical specifications. Assist in translating functional requirements into technical tasks and implementation strategies. Provide updates on progress, challenges, and insights to project leads and client stakeholders. Data Governance, Quality & Security Support Implement thorough metadata management, data quality assessments, and lineage tracking utilizing GCP tools like Dataplex and IAM. Adhere to best practices for security, identity management, and compliance requirements. Support operational strategies for data validation, testing, and monitoring processes. Continuous Learning & Team Collaboration Stay up to date with GCP Data & AI best practices across engineering standards and architectural patterns. Collaborate closely with senior data engineers, ML engineers, and architects. Help develop internal accelerators, documentation, and reusable components. Remain informed about GCP releases, Gemini model updates, and contemporary engineering methods. Travel may be required for this role, ranging from 0 to 100% depending on business needs and client requirements. Here’s what you need At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, ML Engineering, or related fields. Minimum 2 years of practical experience with Google Cloud Platform. At least 2 years of experience in SQL, data modeling, and building data pipelines. A minimum of 2 years of experience with Python or AI tools (Vertex AI preferred). A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years of work experience). If you hold an Associate's Degree, you must have the equivalent of a minimum of 6 years of work experience. Bonus points if you have: Familiarity with GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, and Looker. Exposure to AI/ML development or experimentation with Vertex AI, Gemini models, embeddings, or RAG patterns. Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Git, or cloud-native engineering practices. Google Cloud certifications (Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Data Engineer). Experience in agile delivery environments.
