Description Join our dynamic team as a Mid-Level Data Analyst for Procurement, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing supplier engagement and driving procurement excellence. Position Overview The Mid-Level Data Analyst is integral in managing and analyzing procurement data to optimize supplier interactions and improve processes. In this position, you will collect, validate, and maintain accurate datasets from various sources to meet business objectives and comply with regulatory standards. Your efforts will directly track supplier participation and spending patterns, with a focus on supporting small and local vendors. You will generate insightful reports that showcase trends and performance, validate supplier credentials, and integrate supplier diversity metrics into your analyses to inform strategic sourcing decisions. Collaboration with internal teams will help ensure our procurement practices align with our business objectives and compliance requirements, allowing you to present complex data in a clear and accessible format to facilitate effective decision-making. Key Responsibilities Collect, extract, and validate procurement data from multiple sources to ensure its completeness and accuracy. Utilize coding skills in Power BI and other platforms (such as Python or SQL) to automate data extraction and transformation processes, improving data integration and analysis for supplier engagement initiatives. Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and data visualizations to track supplier engagement, diversity, and performance metrics. Prepare engaging monthly subcontracting and supplier engagement reports for executive leadership and department stakeholders. Ensure up-to-date records of supplier certifications and support initiatives aimed at promoting supplier diversity. Conduct audits of contract compliance to ensure adherence to regulatory and contractual commitments. Work closely with various departments to align procurement processes with business objectives and support supply chain sustainability efforts. Present complex procurement data and insights clearly and concisely to enable informed decision-making. Contribute to ad-hoc projects and ongoing process improvement initiatives within procurement analytics. Data Requirements Advanced proficiency in data analytics tools such as Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint. Experience in coding for data extraction and transformation in Power BI and other platforms (Python, SQL, etc.) is highly desired. Strong background in data extraction, validation, and analysis from various sources, including ERP/MRP systems. Ability to develop custom queries, reports, and dashboards specific to procurement and supplier engagement metrics. Demonstrated experience in spend analysis, tracking key performance indicators, and managing procurement data. Knowledge of data visualization best practices and tools for presenting actionable insights. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Data Sciences, or a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement analytics, supplier management, or a related data analysis role. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including supplier management and product/category managers. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an organized and detail-oriented approach. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report generation, presentation, and stakeholder engagement. Familiarity with sourcing, supplier selection, contract management, and compliance auditing. Understanding of initiatives aimed at promoting supplier diversity.
