Senior SBA Banker

JOB SUMMARY: The Senior SBA Banker is tasked with spearheading business development in SBA lending, ensuring a prominent presence within the community. This role involves engaging prospective clients and managing a robust portfolio centered around SBA 7a and 504 loans, while actively seeking new opportunities through outreach, marketing, and referrals. The ideal candidate builds trust through honesty, integrity, and authenticity. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Business Development Establish a consistent business development cadence in the marketplace through: Call Planning and Follow-Up Client Retention Calls New Client Prospecting Outbound Telephone Calling Participation in Networking Events Maintain and grow a mature network of community and business leaders to generate referrals for additional business opportunities. Lead all aspects of sales, credit analysis, and proper loan structuring ensuring effective SBA loan packaging and submission. Source and nurture new business relationships. Credit Acumen Comprehensive understanding of business credit facilities, including: Structuring terms and products that align with business needs and growth objectives. Analyzing business and personal financial statements to evaluate creditworthiness and identify potential risks. Recognizing long-term credit facility needs based on various business metrics. Educate prospective clients about the Bank's underwriting standards and available SBA programs. Collaborate with attorneys, loan closers, and other relevant personnel to ensure timely loan processing and funding. Balance business opportunities with customer requests while managing potential risks to the bank. Uphold Seacoast Bank's Code of Conduct and mentor junior SBA Lenders. Comply with the Bank's policies and regulatory guidelines, ensuring fair lending practices. Address customer concerns promptly and professionally, elevating issues as necessary. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree in finance or related field preferred. 5+ years of SBA experience preferred; 10+ years in business development or financial services required. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
