MUST HAVE FIRST ASSIST EXPERIENCE IN SPINE AND OR EXTREMITY SURGERY, MINIUMUM 2 YEARS.Location: CLIFTON, HACKENSACK, JERSEY CITY, FAIRFIELD, UNION, WOODBRIDGE, PARAMUSJob Type: Part Time OR Per Diem, full time position is PREFERREDOverview: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic Orthopedic Spine and Extremity practice. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with our renowned Orthopedic practice to provide exceptional patient care, assist in surgeries, and contribute to the overall success of our practice.Responsibilities:Patient Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct thorough pre-operative and post-operative assessments of patients. Review patient medical histories and perform physical examinations. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans. Work up patients and indicated injections and procedures mix of follow ups, new patients, telemeds, injections, and surgery (surgery assist is optional) HOSPITAL ROUNDS AND FIRST ASSISTING Treatment Planning: Collaborate with the Ortho-Spine and Ortho Extremity Surgeon and other PA's to develop comprehensive treatment plans. Provide patient education on treatment options, potential risks, and post-operative care. Clinical Support: Conduct follow-up appointments to monitor patients' progress and address any concerns. Manage and update patient records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation. Assist in the coordination of patient care, including referrals and consultations. CALL IS LIMITED TO PHONE CALL AND MINIMAL HOSPITAL CALL FIRST ASSIST IN OR Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, physical therapists, and radiologists. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, addressing questions and concerns. Participate in team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans. Continuous Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in Orthopedic Surgery. Attend relevant conferences, workshops, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or NP program. Current NJ state license and certification as a Physician Assistant Previous experience in Orthopedic SurgerY OR NEUROSURGERY Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
