We are seeking a talented Senior Front End Engineer to lead the development of dynamic, message-driven interfaces using React within an agile team environment. This role offers the opportunity to enhance responsiveness and reliability while closely collaborating with event-driven backend services. Candidates with backgrounds in eCommerce, ERP, manufacturing, or innovative startup projects will find their experience particularly relevant. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. Applicants must be open to working on a w2 basis and transitioning to a full-time employee after the contract period. Rate: $80.00 to $70.00/hr. w2 Responsibilities: Collaborate with product teams to create next-generation applications. Design and develop interactive, message-driven React components. Ensure UI responsiveness across various devices and states. Troubleshoot and resolve interface software and application issues. Take ownership of specific UI design areas from concept to implementation. Work closely with backend teams to implement event-driven architecture and WebSocket integration. Experience Requirements: Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor and grow a team. 7+ years of experience as a UI developer. Strong proficiency in JavaScript. Expertise in React, with React Native experience considered a plus. Familiarity with Git for version control. Experience with GraphQL. Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services. Skills in unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization. Experience with React workflows like Redux or Flux. Experience utilizing WebSockets. Exposure to Playwright or similar testing tools for creating new tests. Experience with mock services integration for APIs and databases. Familiarity with message brokers such as Kafka is preferred. Ability to work independently and show potential for a future UI Lead role. Experience with mapping libraries such as Mapbox GL.
