Mental Health Worker - 3-11:30 PM

Purpose of this position The purpose of this position is to oversee and monitor the safety of the facility. Duties and Responsibilities Monitor community break, canteen and meal lines as scheduled. Provides crisis intervention and assistance as needed. Observe and communicate any change of condition or behavior to the appropriate Charge Nurse and Nursing Supervisor or Program Manager. Conduct Line Of Sight Monitoring and 1:1 monitoring as needed. Monitor floor and hallways, as scheduled. Observe all facility safety policies and procedures. Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner. Observe infection control procedures. Follow Residents' Rights policies at all times. Be responsible for the safety of residents under her or his supervision Take part in facility in-service programs as required, including PRO-ACT Resistive training. Assume accountability for all data contained in the employees' hand book. Ability to understand and comply with applicable Federal, State and local regulations and requirements. Insure contraband rules are enforced following any visitations in visiting room or when residents return from pass. Will be required to work evenings or weekends as needed Qualifications High School Diploma is required. 1 year experience working with the mentally ill is preferred.
