Be part of a dynamic team within one of the largest cloud platforms globally. The Multimodal AI team in OCI Applied Science is pioneering AI solutions using Oracle's leading GPU-based AI clusters. We focus on advancing Multimodal and Video Generative AI, aiming to transform industries and elevate research standards. Collaborate with a team of expert scientists and work alongside software engineers and product managers to implement these innovations for real-world enterprise applications at an unprecedented scale. Key Responsibilities: Enhancing and optimizing distributed multi-node training infrastructures. Keeping abreast of industry trends in video generation, multimodal understanding, and pretraining methodologies. Designing, developing, and training high-quality image and video generation models. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and scalable deployment pipelines. Troubleshooting production issues and improving system reliability and observability. Writing maintainable, well-tested code while engaging in design discussions and documentation. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. At least 6 years of backend software development experience in cloud infrastructure. Proficient in languages such as Go, Java, Python, or C++. Experience building and maintaining distributed services in production. Familiarity with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and CI/CD methodologies. Strong foundation in computer science principles, including algorithms and networking. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science. Experience with large-scale multi-node distributed training for LLMs and multimodal models. Knowledge of cloud-native observability tools and scalable service design. The pay range for this position is $96,800 to $223,400 per annum, with potential for bonuses and equity.
