Part-Time Logistics Specialist Summary Your role as a Logistics Specialist is vital in our mission to provide the best shopping experience possible for our Guests. You will manage various operational tasks assigned by management, including receiving shipments, shipping merchandise, maintaining the backroom, and ensuring our facilities are clean and organized. Essential Duties and Responsibilities This description outlines the typical responsibilities for this role, but is not exhaustive. Successful candidates will perform all essential duties effectively. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities. Sales Generation and Guest Service Verify merchandise invoices against received items to ensure accurate shipments. Send alterations, layaways, or special orders to Guests via FedEx. Check the accuracy of freight packing slips and transfer documents. Ensure that all transfers are processed correctly and match items to be shipped. Package and present items appropriately for shipping to Guests and other stores. Visual Merchandise Management Remove any packaging materials and tags from incoming merchandise. Attach Sensormatic tags on garments in designated areas. Prepare merchandise for the sales floor through hanging, folding, and steaming as necessary. Assist with projects on the sales floor as needed. Operations Work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs. Maintain proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) software. Receive freight and store transfers through the register system. Handle and document discrepancies efficiently. Maintain all shipment-related paperwork accurately. Identify security risks and implement preventive actions. Create shipping labels for various transit options and sort packages accordingly. Manage weekly recalls and Returns to Vendors (RTVs). Keep inventory of supplies organized and stocked. Ensure a clean, organized workplace and daily tasks are maintained. Report policy violations in a timely and confidential manner. Provide feedback on merchandise handling to management. Uphold company policies and embody our mission of exceptional customer service. Engage in special projects and related duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
