This role is essential in supporting accurate billing, insurance follow-up, and patient account management.ResponsibilitiesSubmit and manage electronic dental insurance claimsPost insurance and patient payments accuratelyFollow up on unpaid, denied, or underpaid claimsSend patient statements and monitor account balancesAssist callers with account inquiries, including billing and insurance questionsCollect patient account balances and review available payment options, including insurance estimates and office payment policiesVerify insurance eligibility and benefitsCommunicate with insurance carriers regarding claims, appeals, and EOBsMaintain accurate records within Open DentalSupport front office and treatment coordinators as neededQualificationsMinimum 3 years dental billing experience (required)Familiar with submitting electronic insurance claimsStrong understanding of dental codes (CDT), EOBs, PPO and HMO plansOpen Dental experience preferredDetail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skillsSchedule & BenefitsFull-time position: 32–40 hours per weekCompetitive compensation based on experienceStable, long-standing practiceSupportive, team-oriented work environmentOpportunity for long-term growth?
