Join our dynamic team and work from home! Previous Bankruptcy Ledger Experience Required! The Bankruptcy Ledger Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing ledgers throughout the Bankruptcy process for residential mortgage loans. This position aims to minimize potential losses while safeguarding the interests of lien-holders. You will ensure compliance with all investor timelines and adhere to the company's policies alongside US state and federal laws and regulations. The expected pay range for this role is $26.00 - $28.00 hourly. Your Responsibilities Include: Accurately execute and complete ledgers for all aspects of the Bankruptcy process such as Acquisitions, Proof of Claims, Notices of Final Cures, Motions for Relief, and Closures, while coordinating corrections on any Bankruptcy Chapters as needed. Verify and research borrower payment history to resolve discrepancies in payment postings (e.g., Ledger Balancing) and ensure timely updates to the company’s system of record. Handle incoming communications from bankruptcy attorneys or other relevant parties regarding residential mortgage accounts involved in the bankruptcy process. Address inquiries from internal teams concerning bankruptcy-related matters. Manage escalated inquiries from both internal sources and external stakeholders. Provide management with valuable insights and emerging trends related to bankruptcy agreements or disputes. Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent experience is required; a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred. Three to five (3-5) years of bankruptcy experience in the mortgage industry is essential. At least two (2) years of ledger balancing experience is mandatory. Knowledge of building payment history is critical.
