Substitute Child Nutrition Technician I (Food Services)

SARATOGA UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT Child Nutrition Technician Job Description Organizational Overview: Under direct supervision of Child Nutrition Supervisor, performs general duties in a kitchen or receiving school Representative Duties and Responsibilities: (Depending on assignment, duties may include, but are not limited to the following:) o Assists in the preparation, packaging and serving of food o Assists in the requisitioning, receiving and storage of food and supplies o Assists in maintaining proper care of equipment and sanitation of the kitchen and/or work area o Assists with inventory o Acts as cashier in cafeteria or at receiving school, including making change, counting money o Keeps simple records Qualifications: o Completion of twelfth grade or equivalent or certification by CSFSA; experience in food service desirable o Valid California driver's license may be required o Pass pre-employment physical if required Through knowledge of: o Care and use of food preparation equipment o Sanitation and safety procedures relating to food preparation, serving and storage o Record keeping and reporting procedures Ability to: o Work cooperatively with others o Follow oral and written directions o Perform moderately heavy manual tasks, lifting ten pounds continually and forty pounds occasionally Requirements / Qualifications For more information on Requirements/Qualifications, please contact the employer.
