Job Description

St. Louis County Parks invites local and national history lovers to volunteer at the Powder Magazine Museum and Old Ordnance Room located in Jefferson Barracks County Park in South St. Louis County as Museum Attendants. Museum Attendants welcome visitors and answer questions about the two museums during low-key, two-person shifts during Wednesdays -Sundays from 12-4pm. Current volunteers enjoy the company of colleagues including history buffs, retirees, veterans, and those with a desire to preserve the past for future generations. The position also provides volunteer training and appreciation events year round. The Old Ordnance Room is located at 346 Bagby Street, St. Louis, MO 63125, and the Powder Magazine Museum is located at 400 Bagby Street, St. Louis, MO 63125. Easiest access to Jefferson Barracks County Park is from the newly refurbished North Gate Entrance, located just south of where Kingston Drive meets South Broadway.
