Join our team as a Vascular Access Specialist RN, a role established to deliver exceptional vascular access services to our patients. In this position, you will operate within established guidelines, maintaining a high level of professionalism and skill. Your contributions will directly impact patient care and outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Perform bedside insertion of peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs). Insert midlines and extended dwell catheters at the bedside. Insert peripheral IV catheters as needed. Establish access through intravascular ports. Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of patients with vascular access devices. Education and Support: Educate patients and their family members about the procedures being performed. Provide clear answers to questions regarding procedures. Offer guidance and education to staff members when necessary. Documentation: Accurately document procedures in accordance with client and company policies. Qualifications: Active RN license in your practicing state. Current ACLS and BCLS certifications. Completion of vascular access competency skills checklist. Strong communication skills. High level of personal effectiveness and credibility. Commitment to patient and client focus. Work Environment: This role operates in a variety of healthcare settings. Expect significant travel between client facilities throughout your workday. You will utilize portable ultrasound equipment, medical supplies, mobile phones, and computers to carry out your responsibilities effectively.
