Join Our Team as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner! We are excited to offer a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for this vital role in our healthcare team. Primary Purpose As a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, you will provide exceptional health care to patients in specialized neonatal settings, focusing on patient diagnosis, treatment, education, and referrals. You will serve as a clinical resource and role model for the advanced practice community, ensuring the highest quality of patient care while assisting leadership in planning and implementing activities for advanced practice providers. Minimum Qualifications Education Requirements Must be an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a Master's Degree in Nursing accredited by CCNE or an accredited Physician Assistant with a Bachelor's Degree and completion of an approved program. Experience No prior experience necessary. Certification and Licensure Current healthcare provider CPR certification is required from recognized organizations. Must maintain licensing and certification as per Medical Staff Bylaws and credentialing policies. Obtain and maintain current certification in the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within the first 90 days of hire. Current RN and APRN licensure from the Texas Board of Nursing is required. Active certification as a Nurse Practitioner in relevant specialties is necessary. Skills and Abilities Deliver excellent care in accordance with Texas Nursing Practice Act. Demonstrate leadership through advanced clinical skills and as a resource for practice development. Exhibit effective communication skills and show capability in leadership and change management. Embrace a patient-centered approach. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in Spanish is a plus. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality clinical services in the neonatal specialty area. Conduct thorough patient assessments and create effective care plans. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation. Consult with supervising physicians and refer patients as needed to enhance outcomes. Engage patients and families in their care process and educate them for effective self-management. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and continuous patient care. Stay updated on the latest practices through ongoing education and professional activity participation. Adhere to organizational policies, regulations, and professional standards. Contribute to departmental goals and improvements, ensuring alignment with overall organizational objectives.
