The Production Line Operator is a versatile team member responsible for safe, efficient, and high-quality operation across the saw line, paint booth, and finishing areas. This role offers opportunities to learn all production positions, with progression through skill levels and increased responsibilities. Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to safety and quality are essential.Shifts Available: 1st (Mon-Wed, 6am-6pm)- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 2nd (Mon-Wed, 6pm-6am), plus a $3.00 shift differentialClean-up Day: Thursdays (1st shift: 6am-12pm) & (2nd shift: 6pm-12am)Schedule may vary due to production needsSaw Line Operation: Operate and monitor saw line equipment to cut and process work-in-progress (WIP) panels. Perform routine quality checks to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface quality. Conduct basic maintenance such as blade inspection, replacement, and minor adjustments. Record production data and complete shift documentation accurately. Paint Booth Operation: Operate and maintain paint booth equipment for applying coatings and finishes. Monitor booth environment and paint application to meet quality and industry standards. Inspect finished products for paint defects (thickness, coverage, chips, appearance). Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of paint equipment. Product Grading, Stacking & Packaging: Inspect siding boards, panels, or finished products for defects, assign grades, and flag items for rework or disposal. Stack finished products correctly using protective materials to prevent damage. Prepare bundles or pallets for storage or shipment with accurate counts and labeling. Assist with packaging line operations and material handling as needed. Safely use hand tools, measuring devices, and material handling equipment. Report quality, production, or equipment issues to supervisors. Support process improvements and assist with pallets/logistics as needed. Rotate through production roles to build skills. Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies. Perform other duties as assigned. 1+ year manufacturing/production experience. Mechanical aptitude with basic maintenance/troubleshooting skills. Ability to safely operate forklifts and lifts. Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of industrial finishing/production processes preferred. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 0-7% of the hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures.
