Continuing Employment Requirements Familiarity with hospital and department policies and procedures, including accepted methods for requisitioning ancillary services and working with medical staff. (Typically acquired during 1-3 months of orientation.) Maintain current nursing knowledge, BLS certification, and required CEUs for licensure.
