In this role, you’ll help strengthen the security posture of multiple agencies by detecting and mitigating cyber risks.This position is based in one of CGI Federal’s offices in Fairfax, VA or Lafayette, LA. A hybrid work model is available:• Day Shift: Onsite three days per week• Night Shift: Fully remoteYour future duties and responsibilities:• Monitor network, endpoint, and application activity through logs and dashboards.• Investigate alerts, analyze suspicious behavior, and correlate data across systems.• Assess incidents for impact, threat mechanisms, and map TTPs.• Escalate critical issues and provide clear remediation steps.• Own response and recovery actions for alerts.• Document alert details and CARE recommendations accurately.Required qualifications to be successful in this role:Maintain at least two certifications from the following:• Security+ and Network• Elastic or Splunk Certified Engineer• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)• CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+)• SANS GIAC Incident Handler (GCIH)• EC-Council Certified Incident Handler (E|CIH)Desired qualifications:• Strong attention to detail• Team-oriented mindsetCGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
