Role: Mechatronics Engineer Location: North Reading, MA Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Mechatronics Engineer to join our team in the semiconductor industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining advanced robotic systems, sensors, actuators, and motion control components. This role requires expertise in PLC programming, GUI development, and integration of electromechanical systems to support high-precision automation in semiconductor manufacturing. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement robotic systems for semiconductor equipment automation. Integrate and calibrate sensors, actuators, and motors for high-accuracy motion control. Develop and maintain PLC programs for process control and automation. Create Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) for machine control and operator interaction. Troubleshoot and optimize electromechanical systems to ensure reliability and performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, software) to deliver integrated solutions. Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Support installation, commissioning, and maintenance of automated systems. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Proven experience in robotics, motion control, and automation systems within the semiconductor or high-tech industry. Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar). Proficiency in GUI development (e.g., C#, Python, LabVIEW, or similar tools). Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, and motor control systems. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, OPC-UA). Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills: Experience with robotic arms and vision systems for precision alignment. Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and cleanroom requirements. Understanding of control theory, embedded systems, and real-time programming.
