Shifts are 7 PM to 7 AM, including weekdays and some weekends. Floating to other departments may be required as needed. Critical care experience is required, but first-timers are accepted. Weekend work is required. Candidates must have ACLS and PALS certifications, along with basic life support certification. No on-call is required for this position. Candidates may float within their scope to meet facility needs. A block schedule may be accommodated but is not guaranteed. Local candidates within a 100-mile radius are accepted for travel positions. Pending state licenses are accepted, but must be submitted in advance. Must have previous charge experience preferred. Experience with Cerner charting system is preferred. Candidates should have experience in adult and pediatric critical care settings. Skills in intubation, extubation, and tracheostomy care are essential. Experience with ventilators, high flow nasal cannula, and bi-level positive airway pressure is beneficial. Knowledge in managing respiratory distress conditions and interpreting arterial blood gases is required. Candidates must work well in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.
