Job Title: Communications Specialist Location- Sacramento California 94203 Pay - $40/hr Duration- 12 months Job Description The Senior Communications Manager leads the development and execution of strategic, highly complex integrated communication programs that support major corporate initiatives and engage multiple external audiences. This role serves as a trusted communication strategist, partnering with corporate and division stakeholders to deliver effective, consistent, and impactful messaging across all channels. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of integrated communication strategies and programs across multiple external audiences. Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans, including strategies, tactics, and channel selection, leveraging all available communication opportunities. Manage communications for high-priority, enterprise-wide strategic initiatives and significant changes to existing marketing or communication strategies. Oversee multiple concurrent projects that cross divisions and require coordination with external resources. Provide strategic communication oversight and recommend continuous enhancements for assigned audiences, programs, and channels. Serve as a communications strategist and consultant, partnering with corporate and division leaders to develop key messages and communication vehicles. Lead and actively participate in project meetings, clearly articulating ideas and concerns while balancing corporate and project objectives. Evaluate the effectiveness of communication channels and messaging strategies, making data-driven recommendations for improvement. Act as an account manager between creative teams and business partners, initiating and managing creative strategy work and contributing to content development. Ensure market positioning and approved key messages are consistently followed. Manage communication projects end to end, including timelines, budgets, reporting, and measurement of outcomes. Analyze communication processes and workflows to improve efficiency, quality, cost control, and accuracy, and recommend improvements. Advise stakeholders on the most effective communication approaches for various initiatives. Write, edit, and review content for a wide range of communication materials. Manage communication workflows and recommend task assignments for team members in alignment with strategic priorities. Job Specifications / Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent professional experience. 4+ years of experience in communications, working across multiple mediums and tailoring content to targeted audiences. Proven project management experience, including managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Proficiency in word processing and desktop publishing applications. Strong strategic thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
