Summary This position is located at Morale, Welfare and Recreation Fund Outdoor Recreation PGM GNL Equipment Issue, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. Incentives and BonusesIncentives will not be paid. Duties Help Performs heavy physical labor requiring the frequent lifting and carrying of items and furniture weighting 80-100 pounds or more. Operate heavy powered equipment performing tasks that require prior work experience and training. Preforms general maintenance of NAF facilities requiring the use of heavy powered equipment and heavy tools. Advises facility director of potential safety hazards and identifies repairs required. Preforms other duties as assigned. Requirements Help Conditions of employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Applicant must be able to frequently lift and carry very heavy objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds. Willing and able to work rotating shifts which may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays. Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation. A physical maybe required. Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Six(6) month of laboring experience required. Must be able to work under general supervision, responding to initial oral or written instructions and completing assigned tasks. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possies at least (1) year of experience. Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement. Allowances and DifferentialsThis job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
