IT Project Manager Salt Lake City, Utah Contract to Hire $55 to $63 per hour contract with a conversion salary of $120K to $130K annually + bonusSummary The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering technology initiatives that meet business objectives while adhering to quality, security, and organizational standards. This role manages multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously, partners closely with IT leaders and business stakeholders, and ensures clear accountability across teams. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, experience leading technology projects, and the ability to drive execution in a dynamic IT environment. Responsibilities Lead system implementation projects across enterprise software, databases, infrastructure, networking, and business applications. Plan, schedule, and manage project timelines, milestones, resources, and deliverables using appropriate project management tools. Monitor project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery. Coordinate cross-functional teams including IT staff, business users, and external vendors. Facilitate sprint planning and agile project activities when applicable. Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes through regular stakeholder and executive updates. Ensure projects comply with security standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. Oversee testing activities, including system testing, user acceptance testing, and deployment coordination. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to project delivery and IT operations. Requirements 2+ years of relevant experience in IT or technology project management with a demonstrated ability to deliver business value. Project management certification required (CAPM, PMP, Agile, or equivalent). Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Strong ability to manage multiple competing priorities and cross-functional initiatives. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
