About the Role We are seeking an experienced VP Finance Controller to lead the organization's accounting function and serve as a key advisor to the CFO and executive team. This hands-on leader will oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and process improvements. Key Responsibilities - Lead and manage the accounting function. - Oversee monthly close, financial reporting, and financial statements. - Manage budget development, audit processes, and tax filings. - Drive process improvements, workflow optimization, and technology utilization. - Ensure compliance across all programs and entities. - Collaborate with the CFO to provide timely financial insights. - Assess team structure, processes, and systems. - Identify inefficiencies and implement early improvements. - Begin roadmap for modernization and increased system utilization. - Strengthen and streamline financial operations. - Improve reporting consistency, accuracy, and timeliness. - Enhance team performance. - Advance financial systems and automation capabilities. Ideal Candidate Profile - CPA required. - Experience combining public accounting and private industry preferred. - Proven leadership of accounting teams. - Experience modernizing financial processes and ERP systems. - Strong communication and partnership skills. - Steady leadership style with ability to elevate team performance.
