Patient Care: Explain procedures to patients, ensure they are relaxed and at ease during the exam, and provide compassionate care while obtaining diagnostic quality images. Technical Expertise: Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functionality and image quality. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols. Fetal Assessments: Perform specialized fetal assessments including Fetal Echocardiography (FE) and Nuchal Translucency (NT) screenings (certification to be obtained within 1 year of hire if not already certified). Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information in compliance with regulatory standards. Team Collaboration: Work closely with MFM physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care and accurate diagnostic results. Key Requirements and Technology Experience: Skills-Current ARDMS certification in OB/GYN (RDMS-OB) or Abdomen (RDMS-AB), or ARRT(S) certification Current BLS certification Experience in OB/GYN or Maternal Fetal Medicine sonography Strong technical and patient care skills Education: Graduate of an accredited Sonography Program. Experience: Less than 1 year of experience required; new graduates are encouraged to apply. Certification/Licensure: Must hold one of the following certifications at time of hire: RDMS-OB (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - OB/GYN) through ARDMS RDMS-AB (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Abdomen) through ARDMS ARRT(S) (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Sonography) Additional Certifications (within 1 year of hire): Fetal Echocardiography (FE) certification Nuchal Translucency (NT) certification Certification: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required. Skills: Strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. Excellent communication, patient care, and teamwork skills in a clinic setting.
