Pharmacist In Charge

Position Overview Seeking an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee sterile compounding operations and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including USP , , and . This role is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of patient safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance. Oversee daily sterile compounding operations and IV therapy preparation. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards. Lead inspections and audits. Manage quality assurance, environmental monitoring, and documentation. Supervise and train pharmacy staff. Maintain inventory, cleanroom equipment, and safety protocols. Investigate deviations and implement corrective actions. Qualifications PharmD or BPharm from an accredited institution. Active pharmacist license in the state of employment; eligible to serve as PIC. Willing to obtain additional state licensure as required. Licensure: Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of New Jersey. Must meet PIC eligibility requirements under state law. Must also be licensed in: AL, AK, AR, CA, ID, IL, IA, KS, KY, LA, MD, MA, MI, MS, NE, NV, OH, OK, OR, TN, TX, VA, WV Must be willing to obtain additional state licensure as required, if not already licensed Minimum 4 years of sterile compounding experience. At least 1 year in a leadership role. Hands-on IV therapy/infusion pharmacy experience required. USP sterile compounding competency required. Work Environment Cleanroom setting with strict environmental controls and required PPE.
