Join Our Team as an Advanced Systems Programmer! We are on the lookout for a talented Computer Programmer who is passionate about enhancing aviation safety, operational analytics, and driving technology modernization initiatives. In this role, you will develop, implement, and maintain innovative software solutions, algorithms, and visualizations that will empower data-driven decision-making within the National Airspace System (NAS). The ideal candidate is skilled in computer programming, data analysis, and software development, with a solid background in aviation or complex technical environments. This position plays a crucial role in engineering, analytics, and technical planning, leveraging advanced computational methods to elevate safety, efficiency, and operational performance. Your Key Responsibilities Will Include: Implementing computer programming and analytical techniques to develop code and software solutions that support aviation safety and operational analysis. Creating dashboards, data visualizations, and analytics tools to assist FAA decision-making and program reporting. Conducting text mining, data extraction, and data integration to provide valuable technical, safety, or operational insights. Utilizing state-of-the-art simulation environments, laboratories, and test facilities to develop and deploy software solutions. Participating in engineering, technical, and analytical teams, offering expertise and contributing to technical planning processes. Applying your knowledge of computer science, programming principles, and mathematical methods to tackle complex aviation or technical problems. Ensuring all developed solutions comply with FAA, federal, and organizational standards for quality, safety, and operational integrity. Preparing documentation, reports, and presentations to effectively communicate findings, methodologies, and recommendations. Required Qualifications: U.S Citizen or Green Card Permanent Resident (3+ years U.S. Residency) Experience within the FAA environment. Education and Experience: Doctorate in Computer Science, Programming, Engineering, or other technical fields with 10+ years of relevant experience; or Master's degree with 15+ years of relevant experience; or Bachelor's degree with 17+ years of relevant experience. 5 years of relevant experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree. Proven expertise in software development, algorithm implementation, and data visualization. Experience with text mining, data analytics, and programming languages like Python, R, Java, C++, or similar. Demonstrated ability to apply computational methods to complex, safety-critical, or technical systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills. Preferred experience in aviation, aerospace, or other heavily regulated technical environments. Desired Qualifications: Experience supporting FAA programs, NAS operations, or aviation safety analytics. Familiarity with software development best practices, version control, and collaborative development environments. Knowledge of data engineering, machine learning, or AI/ML applications in aviation or operational contexts. Experience integrating software solutions with dashboards, visualization tools, and operational analytics platforms. Familiarity with state-of-the-art simulation and test facilities used in aviation or aerospace research.
