This position involves providing specialized nursing care related to IV therapy and enteral nutrition. You'll play a crucial role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, while ensuring the comfort and well-being of those you serve. Your expertise will be vital in implementing medically prescribed interventions and working with diverse patient populations, including those at Mission and our affiliated hospitals. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to perform enteral feeding tube placements and prepare patients for procedures, all while adhering to established guidelines and policies. What We Look For: Required Experience: Proven background as a Vascular Access Specialist, skilled in difficult peripheral access and central venous catheter care. Experience with PICC insertion using ultrasound is essential, along with a willingness to be cross-trained in various catheter and feeding tube procedures for both adults and children. Preferred Experience: Background in data collection for vascular access and enteral feeding procedures. Required Education: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is mandatory. Candidates must enroll in a BSN or advanced degree program within 6 months and complete a BSN within 4 years. Preferred Education: A Master's in Nursing or completion of a Cortrak training course for enteral feeding tube insertion. Required License: Current RN licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC license may apply. Required Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider certification. Preferred Certifications: National Certification VA-BC or CRNI within two years of hire.
