Resident Services Assistant (RSA) / CNANo MandationsPay $15.50–$18.25 per hour Pay based on experience and certification Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance available as outlined in the Employee Handbook Basic life and AD&D insurance provided at no cost to the employee Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Paid Time Off (PTO) Eligible for a 2% wage increase after 90 days with a satisfactory review Annual merit increases based on performance evaluations After one year of employment, eligible to participate in the 401(k) retirement savings program Additional benefits as outlined in the Employee Handbook Shifts Available 1st Shift: 6:00am–2:30pm 2nd Shift: 2:00pm–10:30pm 3rd Shift: 10:00pm–6:30am Full-time and Part-time positions available Position PurposeThe Resident Services Assistant (RSA) assures that all aspects of each resident’s personal care and service plan are implemented while treating residents with dignity and respect. This position supports residents in maintaining independence and the highest possible level of self-sufficiency. Qualifications Empathetic and positive attitude toward caring for older adults CNA, CENA, Home Health Aide, or related experience preferred Ability to read, write, and follow directions in English Emotional maturity and ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the position Minimum age of 17 years Ability to perform essential functions of the position Ability to pass state-mandated criminal background screening and random drug testing Essential Functions Provide care and customer service in accordance with individual care and service plans Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including: Bathing and showering Toileting and hygiene Dressing and undressing Eating Ambulation, mobility, and transfers Assist residents in attending meals and life enrichment activities Encourage residents to maintain the highest level of independence possible Respond promptly to resident requests for assistance, including call lights Properly use assistive and adaptive devices as specified in care plans and policies, including: Gait belts, slide boards, sit-to-stand devices, Hoyer lifts, bath chairs CAMEL system, walkie-talkies, tablets Observe residents for changes in physical, emotional, cognitive, or behavioral condition Communicate and document resident care and observed changes as directed Comply with infection control protocols and life safety policies Complete documentation as required General Responsibilities Treat all residents with dignity, respect, and compassion Serve as a goodwill ambassador for the assisted living center Report to work on time and as scheduled Work cooperatively with coworkers, supervisors, and other staff Comply with Resident Rights and HIPAA privacy rules Follow Employee Handbook guidelines, universal precautions, and infection control practices Notify a supervisor if unsure of any practice before performing it Physical and Mental Requirements Ability to walk and stand for extended periods on hard surfaces Ability to bend, stoop, twist, squat, kneel, push, pull, reach, and stretch Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to assist residents with showers, toileting, transfers, and all aspects of personal care Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions Emotional stability to appropriately handle resident care needs, including chronic illness, challenging behaviors, dementia-related issues, and end-of-life care #INDGP
