Basic Purpose As a Facilities Maintenance Attendant, you will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and visual appeal of common areas and property grounds. Key Responsibilities: Remove and dispose of trash from property grounds, including cigarette butts, pet waste, recyclables, and debris. Clean laundry rooms and mailbox areas, ensuring they are trash-free twice daily or as needed. Manage trash removal from vacant apartment units as required. Sweep and clean the trash dumpster areas on a daily basis. Maintain exterior A/C units by cleaning them when necessary. Sweep and blow entranceways, sidewalks, breezeways, and curbs twice weekly or as needed. Assist with landscape maintenance, including plant installation and weeding. Water and weed flowerbeds, and remove dead plants. Place and manage sprinkler hoses throughout the day. Properly store lawn equipment at the end of each workday. Maintain the cleanliness of pool(s) and Jacuzzi(s), conducting chemical checks and cleaning regularly. Dispose of trash in and around the pool and Jacuzzi areas. Clean pool deck and furniture daily, ensuring proper arrangement. Support the Property Manager by tagging abandoned vehicles and distributing notices/newsletters to residents. Assist with the maintenance of exterior lighting as required. Repair broken fences, clean outdoor light fixtures, paint curbs, and fix/replace screens. Clean rain gutters as necessary. Complete the weekend porter checklist and submit it to the property manager. Shampoo carpets as needed. Manage snow and ice, including spreading ice melt and shoveling. Carry out additional job-related tasks assigned by the Property Manager. Qualifications: Effective communication skills for interaction with the Property Manager through written and oral instructions. Ability to read, speak, and understand English for business purposes. Read and write instructions, correspondence, service requests; engage professionally with residents, coworkers, and vendors. Successfully complete a pre-employment background check, which includes criminal history review, employment verification, and drug screening. Physical Demands: The role requires standing, walking, climbing, handling objects, reaching, stooping, kneeling, talking, and hearing. Lifting of heavy objects up to 75 pounds necessitates assistance from a dolly and a fellow employee.
