Salary : $63,044.80 Annually Location : Modesto, CA Job Type: Student Intern Job Number: 20-2026-01 Department: General Manager Division: General Manager Opening Date: 02/12/2026 Closing Date: 2/25/2026 5:00 PM Pacific Description The Modesto Irrigation District is currently recruiting to fill one part-time temporary hourly-intermittent Student Intern, up to 40 hours per week for the summer, in the Regulatory Department, General Manager Division. Student Interns can expect to work in a variety of special projects during the term of his/her internship. Examples of Duties Potential projects during the internship include, but are not limited to: Assist in tracking legislation at the state and federal levels. Analyze and prepare summaries of legislation. Draft letters of position on legislation. Observe the legislative process, hearings and proceedings. Prepare fact sheets. Typical Qualifications Typical qualifications may include: Enrolled in a four-year college or university. Preference will be given to upper class applicants or recent college graduates planning to attend graduate school. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to work cooperatively with others.
