Join our dedicated team as a Vascular Access Nurse, where you will provide expert vascular access services to our valued patients. In this vital role, you will adhere to the guidelines set forth by your licensing state and our company policies, maintaining a high level of professionalism and skill in all your procedures. Key Responsibilities: Perform bedside insertion of peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs). Conduct bedside insertion of midlines and extended dwell catheters. Insert peripheral IV catheters at the bedside. Establish access via intravascular ports. Conduct thorough examination, assessment, and evaluation of patients with vascular access devices. Education and Support: Educate patients and family members on procedures and provide clear answers to their questions. Assist in staff education when necessary, sharing knowledge and best practices. Documentation: Ensure all procedures are clearly documented in accordance with client policies and company standards. Competencies Required: Valid RN license in the state of practice. Current ACLS and BCLS certifications. Completed vascular access competency skills checklist. Strong communication skills and personal effectiveness. Commitment to patient and client focus. Work Environment: This role operates in a variety of healthcare settings, requiring travel from client facility to client facility. It involves the use of portable ultrasound equipment, medical supplies, mobile devices, and computers.
