Since 1950, we have proudly operated in St. Louis and McCay is committed to setting itself apart from the rest of the competition and is strategically positioning itself to be the most relied on supplier.Job Title: CMM OperatorKey Responsibilities: Ability to set-up and operate CMMs Develop and maintain CMM programs to support First Article, In-Process, and Final Inspections using PC-DMIS/Calypso/Verisurf software Interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications as needed to ensure CMM programs measure and record all necessary implicit and explicit customer requirements Complete first article inspection documentation in accordance with AS9102 Maintain AS9100 standards Create non-conformance reports as necessary Maintain excellent communications and working relationships with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Production Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications: Degree/Certificate from college or technical school 3-5 years' experience preferred; or an equivalent combination or education and experience Proficient in CMM programming PC-DMIS/Calypso Strong understanding of blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and Form, Fit, and Function principles Understanding of AS9102 First Article Inspection process Proficient in 3D CAD Software Inspection Methods and Techniques, including GD&T application and interpretation Effective communication and interpersonal skills Knowledgeable and experienced in manufacturing processes Works well independently and in a team environment in a fast paced, deadline driven, diverse environment Work on site is required Aerospace industry knowledge a plus Working conditions: Working conditions consist primarily of shop floor environment. Other than safety glasses and closed-toed shoes, additional personal protective equipment is generally not required. May be required to lift and negotiate up to 60 pounds.
