This role requires both clinical expertise and compassionate care for our young patients and their families. Shift Details Hours: 7 PM - 7 AM Weekly Hours: 36 hours/week Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend, including holiday rotation Float Requirements: May float to the Emergency Department for inpatient holds Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in hematology and oncology Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care strategies Coordinate care with other healthcare team members Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Support families through education and emotional support Qualifications Pediatric Experience: Minimum of 24 months required within the last 18 months Hematology/Oncology Experience: Required EPIC Electronic Medical Systems: Experience within the past 12 months is necessary Travel Experience: Must have completed at least one travel contract within the last 18 months Licensure: Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license at the time of submission Certifications: APHON Certification BLS (Basic Life Support) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Driver's License: Required Orientation Dates March 16 March 30 Preferred Qualifications Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, or nurse manager within the last 24 months If you are a passionate nursing professional with the required experience and skills, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of pediatric patients and their families.
