Key Responsibilities: Create and develop innovative generative AI algorithms and systems utilizing state-of-the-art deep learning techniques. Evaluate and enhance the efficiency, scalability, and stability of algorithms to meet specific project demands. Engage in research that pushes the envelope in intelligent systems, advancing scientific and technological frontiers. Investigate approaches to comprehend the semantics of diverse data types-such as images, video, 3D, text, and audio-and effectively train generative models. Collaborate with fellow researchers and cross-functional teams, articulating your research objectives, progress, and findings with clarity. Share and disseminate your research insights within the company and the broader academic community. Contribute to research initiatives that align with Meta's product development objectives whenever applicable. Minimum Qualifications: Currently pursuing or in the process of obtaining a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, or a related technical discipline. Eligibility for work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and throughout the employment duration. Proficient in programming languages such as Python, C++, C, Java, or similar languages. Experience in developing systems that utilize machine learning and/or deep learning methodologies. Preferred Qualifications: Intend to return to academic studies after completing the internship. Demonstrated accomplishments such as grants, fellowships, patents, or first-authored publications in notable workshops or conferences like NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ACL, or similar. Experience working in collaborative team settings, with effective cross-functional communication. Background in enhancing AI techniques, including substantial contributions to open-source libraries and frameworks in the domain of computer vision. Strong analytical abilities with a penchant for tackling challenges using quantitative techniques. Hands-on experience in setting up machine learning experiments and evaluating outcomes. Experience managing complex, large-scale, high-dimensional data from diverse origins. Proficient in applying both theoretical and practical research methods to address real-world problems. Familiarity with deep learning frameworks is highly desirable. Compensation: Compensation ranges from $7,650/month to $12,134/month, plus additional benefits.
