Job Description

Join our dedicated team and help prioritize health! As a Billing Analyst in Revenue Cycle, you will play a critical role in ensuring efficient and accurate billing processes throughout the organization. Your responsibilities will include monitoring accounts receivable, resolving billing discrepancies, and tackling claim rejections. Additionally, you will investigate billing issues and propose enhancements to our processes. Regularly update the A/R pivot table to review the status of accounts receivable. Examine submitted claims to identify and resolve issues with uploading to RevConnect and facilitate mass rebilling for claims not transmitted. Identify opportunities for enhancements in billing projects and rectify recurring billing challenges. Review Non-Medicare payers in RevConnect to spot and correct mass billing errors that lead to claim rejections. Ensure that root causes of rejections are addressed to prevent recurring issues. Assist in investigating billing issues to determine and implement suitable resolutions. Monitor new payer Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) and contract updates to ensure compliance with contract terms; address any inconsistencies. Track week-over-week trends for billed and unbilled accounts. Monitor significant billing issues that could impact revenue collection. Propose solutions to reduce aging accounts (over 90 days) and meet key performance targets. Analyze month-over-month trends to discover improvement opportunities in billing, procedures, and collections aligned with organizational objectives. Report on over 90-day aging trends to resolve denied claims and boost revenue. Keep track of the top 10 monthly payers and comment types to address any rises in billing or claim challenges. Provide detailed reporting and analysis as needed by management. Assist in audit reviews. Review contracts for accuracy and compliance in claim processing when necessary. Utilize your skills to make a difference! Requirements: A minimum of 5 years of experience in billing systems, payer setup, and contract review. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting. Experience in data-driven decision making. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. To support remote work capabilities, employees must ensure their internet service meets these criteria: At least 25 Mbps download speed and 10 Mbps upload speed; wired cable or DSL connections are recommended. Satellite, cellular, and microwave connections may be permitted with leadership approval. Employees residing and working remotely in specific states will receive bi-weekly internet expense reimbursement. Remote employees will be provided with necessary telephone equipment for business needs. Work from a dedicated space free from interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information. Travel: This is a remote position, but occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be necessary.
