Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Manager to oversee and implement Environmental Protection (EP) stormwater programs. This position serves as a key contact for our Market Area, providing essential technical guidance on stormwater compliance and regulatory issues. You will monitor and investigate compliance status, train staff, and offer specific recommendations to ensure environmental standards are met. Leadership opportunities may arise, allowing you to guide a team of EP professionals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Effectively communicate and implement corporate EP program policies and strategies. Identify and analyze local, state, and federal regulatory impacts on stormwater operations. Plan and secure stormwater permits and other necessary regulatory approvals. Manage and oversee stormwater testing and investigations, focusing on waste management practices. Provide budget guidance related to EP project needs. Direct technical projects for outside consultants and staff on stormwater improvements and issues resolution. Administer customer waste approvals pertinent to operations. Prepare and deliver training on environmental protection topics to staff. Maintain databases and manage reporting related to EP data tracking systems. Supervisory Responsibilities You may have supervisory responsibilities, which can include evaluating employee performance, promoting staff, assigning work, and managing grievances, with final decisions made by the Group EP Director. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree or, in place of a degree, a High School Diploma/GED with four (4) years of relevant experience. Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years in environmental protection. Certifications: Knowledge of the regulatory landscape pertaining to environmental protection and compliance is essential. Skills: Proficient in MS Office and general computer applications, with an aptitude for learning specialized software. Familiarity with statistical methods and strong research skills are required. Understanding of the company's operational structure is beneficial. Work Environment This position involves both office and outdoor settings, particularly within landfill environments, which may require flexibility depending on operational needs. The compensation range for this position is between $101,535 - $131,880, influenced by experience and qualifications.
