In the Energy sector, whether in Upstream, Oilfield Services, or Downstream, integrated planning is crucial for managing costs, service, capital efficiency, and resilience in unpredictable environments. We support our clients in modernizing their planning processes, redesigning operating models, embedding AI-driven decision-making, and ensuring a seamless connection from planning to execution across the entire value chain. Your Role: As a Consulting Manager, you will spearhead integrated planning transformation initiatives, engaging directly with our Energy clients and senior Accenture stakeholders. You will be pivotal in shaping strategies, designing future-state capabilities, and overseeing implementations that span people, processes, data, and technology. Your responsibilities will include the following: Integrated Planning Strategy & Operating Model: Develop comprehensive integrated planning strategies that align with business objectives and asset-driven models specific to Energy. Establish planning governance, decision-making rights, roles, and frequencies across different departments such as sales, marketing, finance, operations, and logistics. Redesign operational models to fuse human planners, advanced analytics, GenAI, and agentic decision frameworks. S&OP / IBP Leadership: Guide the design and execution of S&OP / Integrated Business Planning (IBP), including demand and supply reviews, and both pre-Executive and Executive cycles. Facilitate alignment among commercial, operational, and financial plans amidst fluctuating demand and supply scenarios. Incorporate scenario planning, risk analysis, and AI-enhanced decision-support into senior planning sessions. Demand, Supply & Inventory Planning: Lead the efficient design and optimization of demand forecasting, supply, production planning, and inventory management processes. Balance service levels, costs, and working capital throughout intricate Energy supply chains. Utilize predictive and prescriptive analytics to elevate forecast accuracy and planning responsiveness. S&OE & Planning-to-Execution: Develop Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) methodologies to transition strategic plans into daily operations. Ensure synchronization across production scheduling, inventory deployment, order fulfillment, and logistics. Support the integration of intelligent agents and automation to enhance execution speed and manage exceptions effectively. GenAI, Analytics & Digital Enablement: Identify and implement GenAI and Agentic AI applications within forecasting, scenario analysis, exception management, and planner productivity. Advise clients on the selection and adoption of appropriate planning technologies. Employ advanced analytics, simulation, and visualization techniques to provide actionable insights for planning. Performance, Risk & Resilience: Define and monitor supply chain planning KPIs, such as service level and inventory turns. Identify risks within the supply chain and devise strategies to mitigate disruptions and capacity challenges. Drive a culture of continuous improvement through a structured performance management approach. Leadership & Client Delivery: Manage and lead small to mid-sized teams on various planning initiatives. Act as a functional expert within client project teams, ensuring successful project delivery and translating planning challenges into effective solutions. Support change management initiatives, build capabilities, and empower planners for lasting adoption. Qualifications: Energy industry experience (Upstream, Oilfield Services, and/or Downstream) from consulting or industry roles. Minimum of 5 years in Supply Chain and Integrated Planning initiatives. At least 5 years of expertise in delivering S&OP, demand/supply planning, inventory, or S&OE capabilities. Prior consulting experience or equivalent internal consulting at a managerial level. In-depth understanding of planning operating models, processes, and performance management. Bonus Qualifications: Experience in incorporating advanced analytics, GenAI, or automation in planning processes. Hands-on exposure to planning technology platforms. Experience with an Energy operator in planning, operations, or supply chain roles. Specialization in Demand Forecasting, S&OP/IBP, S&OE, or Inventory Optimization. Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies. Proficiency in analytics and visualization tools. MBA or an advanced degree.
