Principal Software Engineer - Infrastructure Leadership

Key Responsibilities: Set the technical direction of your team to enhance organizational efficiency. Communicate and articulate complex features and systems clearly. Stay updated on industry and company trends to assess and leverage new technologies. Collaborate with organizational leaders to elevate team and organizational performance. Identify new opportunities for the organization and influence staffing and prioritization of innovative ideas. Develop a long-term technical vision and roadmap for significant cross-company initiatives. Gather, synthesize, and propose requirements for an effective feature roadmap. Analyze and resolve performance and scalability issues, and lead initiatives to reduce technical debt. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 12+ years of programming experience in a relevant language or 8+ years with a PhD. Proven ability to plan a multi-year roadmap aligning short-term projects with long-term objectives. Experience driving large-scale cross-functional engineering initiatives. Strong data-driven analytical skills for explaining technical challenges and proposing solutions. Effective cross-functional communication for driving collaborative solutions. Experience mentoring and influencing executive stakeholders across organizations. Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in programming languages like C, C++, or Java, as well as scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Hack. Track record of enhancing quality through meticulous code reviews, thorough testing, and proactive improvements. 8+ years of relevant experience in developing large-scale infrastructure applications.
