Primary Purpose: The Executive General Adjuster is responsible for investigating claims of any size or complexity for personal, casualty, or property loss. The role involves negotiating out-of-court settlements with claimants. Key Responsibilities: Handle complex losses independently and assist with larger cases, including accounting-related losses. Review claim forms and records to determine insurance coverage. Communicate with claimants and witnesses to gather relevant information. Consult police and hospital records, inspect damages, and assess the extent of liability. Estimate expenses for repairs, replacements, or compensations. Prepare detailed reports of findings and negotiate settlements with claimants. Recommend legal action to the legal department when negotiations fail. Attend litigation hearings as necessary. Adjust case reserves to reflect probable costs. Create loss experience reports for assessing profitability and future rate calculations. Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned. Contribute to the organization's quality programs. Travel as required. Qualifications: Education & Licensing: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred. Candidates should hold the IIA-AIC designation and be pursuing another professional insurance designation. An appropriate state adjuster license is mandatory. Experience: A minimum of five years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and expertise is required. Skills & Knowledge: Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office and general PC skills. Strong customer service orientation. Attention to detail and accuracy. Effective time management and organizational skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in teams. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand or walk for extended periods. Ability to kneel, squat, or bend. Capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Must be able to climb, crawl, and reach overhead. Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds. Capability to push or pull up to 100 pounds. Must be able to drive for up to 4 hours per day. Continual manual dexterity is essential. Auditory/Visual: This role requires effective hearing, vision, and verbal communication abilities.
