Senior Applications Engineer - Electrical Solutions

We're seeking a dynamic Senior Applications Engineer to support our ERICO and ERIFLEX products utilized in diverse industrial, energy, and infrastructure projects. In this highly visible role, you will collaborate across functions and engage directly with customers from design to installation. This hybrid position allows you to tackle technical challenges while gaining broad exposure to our operations. This is a hybrid position requiring you to work 4 days a week on-site in Solon, OH. Key Responsibilities: Act as a subject matter expert on product development and manufacturing processes for electrical products. Promote Facility Electrical Protection and the effective use of nVent ERICO products through customer site visits. Deliver market insights and customer feedback to project teams to aid in product development. Provide technical support to specifying engineers, customizing systems to meet customer needs. Manage engineering projects for new products and enhancements, focusing on cost reduction and system consolidation. Drive digital transformation by creating tools for design, quoting, and inspection processes. Ensure accuracy in training materials, installation guides, and other technical documentation. Represent nVent in industry standards committees and contribute to the development of codes and standards. Assist customers in selecting and applying ERICO and ERIFLEX products effectively. Support initiatives related to E-mobility, Energy Storage, and Renewable Energy sectors. Your Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited program is required. At least 10 years of experience in an engineering role, preferably in electrical power systems or electromechanical products. Strong understanding of electrical design and safety standards (IEEE, ANSI, IEC, UL) with hands-on experience in lab environments. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively, both in-person and virtually. Willingness to travel up to 20% for customer support and off-site testing.
