Porter (Weekends- Part-Time) Well-Spring

Porter - Environmental Services Full-Time | Life Plan Community (Well-Spring) Schedule: Friday - Sunday Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm About the Role We're seeking a dependable and flexible Porter to join our Environmental Services team. This position plays an essential role in keeping our community clean, comfortable, and safe for residents, staff, and visitors. This is a floating position, meaning you'll work throughout the entire building as needed rather than being assigned to just one floor or area. We're looking for someone who enjoys variety in their day and takes pride in helping wherever needed. Key Responsibilities Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables across the campus Clean, reline, and maintain trash containers and trash rooms Sweep, mop, and vacuum assigned areas Perform floor care, including carpet cleaning and extraction (a major part of weekend duties), stripping, and refinishing hard floors Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and wet vacuums Move furniture and supplies as needed Clean guest units and common spaces Perform light maintenance tasks (e.g., unclogging drains) Maintain supply closets and ensure all equipment is properly stored and labeled Assist with other housekeeping or support tasks as needed across the building Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older Must have a valid North Carolina driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekend coverage (Friday-Sunday schedule) Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to follow directions, work independently, and adapt to changing needs Previous custodial, janitorial, or environmental services experience preferred Why Join Us At Well-Spring, you'll be part of a supportive, mission-driven team dedicated to providing a welcoming environment for residents and staff alike.
