As a Speech Language Pathologist in the vibrant landscape of Fort Worth, your professional journey will encompass far more than just addressing communication and swallowing challenges. You'll be a catalyst for potential, restoring confidence in diverse patients ranging from bright-eyed toddlers discovering their first words to resilient seniors who are reclaiming their independence. This role offers you the remarkable chance to work with individuals of all ages in a dynamic environment that seamlessly combines outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient support. Whether your heart lies in nurturing childhood language skills, addressing adult neurogenic communication obstacles, or improving the cognitive-linguistic capabilities of the elderly, this opportunity provides both fulfillment and adaptability. Description Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods. Craft individualized treatment plans designed to tackle both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver engaging one-on-one speech therapy sessions focused on aspects such as communication, language acquisition, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing proficiency. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to develop comprehensive care strategies. Provide educational resources to patients and families to reinforce progress in their everyday lives. Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a smooth continuum of care throughout the therapeutic experience. Uphold meticulous, timely documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational standards. Enhance your expertise by remaining up-to-date with advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), pending ASHA certification. Certifications Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment commencement. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment practices for varied age groups, along with a comprehensive understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Outstanding interpersonal communication with patients, families, and diverse care teams. Flexibility in adapting therapeutic techniques to address varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical judgment and adept problem-solving skills. Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation requirements. Benefits Attractive compensation package based on experience. Flexible scheduling to promote work-life harmony and manage a varied caseload. Chances to specialize in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric care. Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation. Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options. Continuing education reimbursement, along with professional development opportunities. Supportive, team-centered atmosphere devoted to quality care and lifelong learning. A Rewarding Path Where Your Impact Matters In this position, your role transcends the provision of speech therapy; you will join a community-focused mission dedicated to restoring voices, enhancing communication, and creating heartwarming moments through fundamental human connections: understanding and being understood. Here, you'll collaborate with clinicians who prioritize camaraderie and teamwork, in a nurturing environment that values collaboration over competition. Every individual you meet has a unique story - and we trust you to help narrate theirs. Why Fort Worth Will Feel Like Home Life in Fort Worth boasts an enchanting rhythm that harmonizes innovation with a warm sense of southern charm. This city is a vibrant tapestry, woven through with a rich history and a flair for the artistic. You might be specializing in pediatrics and looking to extend your expertise to adult services; or you may be a neuro-focused clinician eager to weave early intervention into your practice. If you are ready to contribute your heart and skills to this mission, we are excited to welcome you to our team. Let's Craft Transformative Journeys Together If you believe that speech transcends mere sound, that therapy is about building trust rather than just completing tasks, and that joy is as integral to language as the words themselves - then you've found a captivating next chapter in your career journey. Join us to celebrate communication, foster connection, and embark on the courageous journey of transformation together. Apply today and let your voice become a vital part of our dedicated team - help others discover theirs.
