Core Responsibilities: Clinical Review & Peer Collaboration Act as the physician reviewer for oncology cases, utilizing evidence-based guidelines to ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective care. Engage in peer-to-peer discussions with oncologists to clarify clinical determinations while fostering alignment with quality and value outcomes. Serve as a subject matter expert for clinical reviewers. Practice & Physician Engagement Participate in engagement sessions with oncology practices, sharing best practices and promoting evidence-based treatment pathways. Develop trusted relationships with oncologists to drive behavior changes that enhance patient outcomes. Support transformation initiatives at the practice level focused on reducing unwarranted variations and improving quality. Internal Strategy & Value Initiatives Collaborate with Evolent's clinical leadership to create and implement innovative initiatives in oncology. Provide insights on clinical algorithms and care models to facilitate specialty care transformation. Work with operational and analytics teams to evaluate the impact of interventions and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Engage in audits to ensure compliance with clinical documentation and performance metrics. Compliance & Quality Maintain compliance with URAC, NCQA, and internal quality standards throughout all reviews and engagements. Document peer interactions and clinical decisions accurately and in a timely manner. Participate in training and inter-rater reliability processes. Qualifications: MD/DO/MBBS with board certification in Medical Oncology. A minimum of five (5) years of post-residency experience, ideally with two years in active clinical practice. Possess a current, unrestricted medical license (multiple state licenses preferred or willing to obtain). Demonstrated leadership experience in practice transformation, value-based care, or clinical quality improvement. Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, with a proven ability to influence physician behavior. Enthusiastic and committed to enhancing oncology care delivery. Not subject to any sanctions or exclusions from Medicare/Medicaid programs. To ensure a secure hiring process, we implement identity verification steps that include submitting a government-issued photo ID. Verification occurs during interviews, with final interviews possibly requiring onsite attendance. All candidates must complete a thorough background check and may be subject to drug screening prior to hiring. The use of AI tools in interviews is strictly prohibited and monitored. Technical Requirements: All employees must have high-speed internet exceeding 10 Mbps and, for call center roles, the ability to connect directly to their home internet router. These requirements may change based on any scheduled reopening of our office locations. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $120-130/hour, with eligibility for a performance-based bonus.
