Position HighlightsCompensation & Benefits 1099 contract LWBS (Left Without Being Seen) performance bonus Malpractice coverage with tail Schedule & Practice Details Shifts: 12-hour day (7A-7P) or night (7P-7A) Monthly shifts: 12 Coverage: 1 day physician, 1 night physician, strong PA support Hard sign-out at the end of each shift Annual ED volume: ~32,000 (~90-100 patients/day) Acuity: Average ESI 3-4 22-bed ED with hospitalist and 24/7 radiology coverage Air and ground transport support for high-acuity transfers On-site specialties: General Surgery, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Primary Care, and Urology Support & Leadership Independent hospital with physician-led leadership Collaborative team environment Opportunities for professional development and teaching About the OrganizationSampson Regional Medical Center has served the region since 1950 and remains one of the few independent, community-based hospitals in North Carolina.
