ASCP Clinical Staff Pharmacist | Night Shift

This full-time night shift role involves collaborating with fellow pharmacists to compound and dispense medications and IV supplies with precision and care. Key Responsibilities Accurately enter and confirm medication orders using Meditech, ensuring no duplications or errors. Provide knowledgeable responses to pharmacy staff, nursing, and physicians by researching medication information and resolving discrepancies. Review physician orders for accuracy, clarify any uncertainties with prescribers, and document interactions thoroughly. Perform safety checks including barcode scanning and visual inspections during medication dispensing and restocking. Prepare compounded sterile products using aseptic techniques and maintain detailed chemotherapy logs. Manage narcotic counts and controlled substance documentation with precision and timeliness. Participate actively in committees, assist in pharmacist hiring, and support pharmacy student precepting. Engage in continuous improvement of pharmaceutical care and complete all required clinical documentation and education. Education Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited college of pharmacy is required. Experience One year of hospital pharmacy experience or internship is preferred. Requirements Must hold or be able to obtain a pharmacist license within 90 days. Active membership in pharmacy organizations is encouraged. Work Environment This role requires mental focus for extended periods and physical activity including standing, walking, sitting, and lifting up to 25 lbs. The environment includes typical pharmacy automation and telephone noise, with occasional deadlines and sensitive situations.
