About the Position: Our Human Resources (HR) Specialist serves as a key strategic partner, providing expert HR support to clients across a wide range of functions and organizational levels. In this client-facing role, the HR Specialist offers thoughtful, data-driven guidance on both Federal & State HR regulations, policies, and best practices, delivering tailored solutions that align with each client's unique structure, culture, and business goals. The HR specialist will excel at building trusted stakeholder relationships across multiple lines of business, demonstrating the ability to proactively anticipate and respond to a broad spectrum of HR needs with agility, flexibility, insight, discretion and professionalism. Responsibilities may include: Strategic HR Partnership: Partner with client leadership and cross-functional teams to develop scalable HR solutions that resolve complex issues and drive business performance. Compliance Tracking: Maintain compliance trackers and ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and DoD policies, while advising leadership on best practices. Onboarding & Offboarding: Oversee the onboarding process for new personnel and manage offboarding procedures for personnel, including for those on Joint Duty Assignments, ensuring smooth transitions and a positive initial and closeout experience with the organization. Talent Sourcing & Recruiting: Lead talent sourcing and recruitment initiatives, leveraging non-traditional and innovative sourcing strategies to develop and maintain a pipeline of high-quality candidates with the skills needed to meet hiring objectives. Human Resource Process Enhancements: Assist in creating and implementing SOPs and support process improvement initiatives to enhance organizational efficiency. Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong stakeholder and employee relationships, ensuring alignment between HR initiatives and business objectives. Coordinate across stakeholder groups, as needed, and remain flexible and responsive to stakeholder needs. Produce High Quality Deliverables: Prepare and present comprehensive, executive level reports, including Talent and Compliance Tracker updates, SOPs for onboarding, indoctrination, and offboarding, along with business process improvement recommendations and other HR-related SOPs. Special Project & Initiatives: Lead additional strategic HR initiatives as needed, including cross-functional projects and process optimization efforts to support overall organizational goals and client needs. Required Qualifications: Must possess an active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI (other federal agency clearances considered); may be required to take polygraph after placementExperience supporting the DoD with human resource functions and recruiting for DoD roles Bachelor's degree 6+ years of experience in human resources in federal government or contractor environment Strong client service orientation with the ability to understand and respond to diverse organizational cultures and leadership styles Proven experience delivering HR solutions in a consultative, strategic capacity-ideally across multiple business functions or clients Work onsite at the client location, in and around the Washington Metropolitan area, 5 days per week Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree Familiarity with the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) and its mission areas Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate HR data into actionable insights. Your salary may vary within this range depending on a wide range of factors, including (but not limited to) your qualifications, skills, experience, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
